After two years I got tired of my DVD player not playing DVDs it's supposed to. Searched all the crack sites and found nothing. I discoved the solution by accident. The solution is simple and I'm sure will work on other units as well: Unplug the unit from the wall and leave it for a minute. Plug it back in and push the power button. Take the remote control in one hand and put a cd or dvd case on top of the buttons. Make sure you cover all the buttons except for the power and the open/close button. Press down and hold the case against all the buttons at the same time for a few minutes. I repeated the steps 4 times, however it may not have been necessary and now it works. JVC XV-S60 is region free. This is no joke, it's worth 5 minutes of your time!!! NO KIDDING! | |||
