This hack is posted for other JVC players. It also worked for the dr-mv78. Download ZIP file http://www.area450.co.uk/images/LG5000.zip to your PC. Unzip it and using a CD authoring program like Nero, copy the folder and its contents to a blank CD. The ZIP file unzips a folder called 'RMTM0000' with a sub-folder called'SCARLET'. In the 'SCARLET' sub-folder there is a file called 'KPJC19_1.DVD'. Everything moves as is. I just dragged and dropped the folder to the CD. This is a hack for LG's but works on many JVC players including this one. After burning the CD (without Multi-session) :- Insert the CD into your DVD player. It starts to read the CD. Once read, you should have a screen which shows the current Region code, in my case it was 1. It asks what code you want, Enter '0' (Zero) on the remote control. Press 'OK' on the remote control. Remove the CD/ Turn off the DVD player and switch it back on. Your done. Enjoy the region free player! | |||
