To change region codes: Power on, Press open on the DVD player. Press Menu button on DVD (or SETUP on remote control), (you see General Setup Page on the screen)Press the right key 3 times to select the Preference Page. On the remote control press 9653, Use the up and down key to select the Region, Select 0 for all regions. | |||

The hack previously mentioned allows you to reset the region for a single use. After powering down and restarting, the region is reset to "1". | |||

I have used this hack on 3 players and have switched off and on and tried reg 1 & reg 2 dvd's and it still plays all. I don't know why this above report reverts back to region 1 after power down!! | |||

I now know why the player reverts to the factory settings... If you let the power run completly flat on the player it will lose the hack code. | |||

I tried it and it works. But I could see that even without opening the CD drive you could use the same method to hack it. | |||
