i just found out how to hack insignia stuff. All you have to do is turn on the dvd player open tray. press setup press over four times. After that type in 1389 same as for aspire digital dvd players. | |||

This hack also worked on my Prima LV-1910P. [Sorry to post here! I requested to add the player but I'll forget to post the hack later. Please move/repost this to the right place. Here it is:] ------------ Prima LV-1910P - A 19in LCD-DVD combo - Purchased ~Jan 2007, probably Future Shop, Toronto, Canada 1. Power on in DVD mode (no disc; shows "Open") 2. On remote, press [Setup] four times (or more; maybe stop at Preferences menu) 3. On remote, type in 1389 Region code prompt shows on screen 4. Use up/down arrows to select region: 0 = region-free 1,2,3, ... = regular regions 5. Press [Setup] to exit. Maybe power off/on for good measure. ------------ I got the hack from Insignia IS-TVDVD20. That posting said it also works for Aspire players. Personal theory is that Prima, Insignia & many others are same manufacturer / same stuff, labeled as brand-of-the-week for Future Shop & other stores. | |||
