To make it region-free turn on the player and then: press SETUP press STOP press SKIP LEFT (|<<) press SKIP RIGHT (>>|) A secret page called "Factory Control Page" will appear and you can choose other regions. Select "Bypass" to set it region-free. You can also choose Macrovision to be disabled, as well as CSS. have fun | |||

turn on player make shure there,s no disk inside! press setup press stop press skip left |<< press skip right |>> now you are in factory settings screen you see: Version: (my player):V25J01131 region ID (standard on region 2) CSS (for new protection disks?)standard auto(on) Macrovision (standard auto)(on) Automute Dither now go with remote on region (blue buttons on remote) press right and choose "bypass" confirm with enter! macrovision same deal set to "off" confirm with enter(play) CSS off confirm with enter(play) Tested: copied DVD from hiteker 1120 to Phillips DVD-R1000 100% working so i guess the macrovision did the trick! ;-) points:1(bad)10(Exelent) 1 for manual totaly crap! 6 drive: will last you for 2 years i think 10: price 125 euro,s!!! 10:region / macrovision / Css (at last no expensive mods to be payed i had before a pioneer who died also after 2 years costed me over 1000 euro,s at the time incl mod overal 10 points for this player! | |||
