Warning about the DVP505E hack. The hack performs all it promises (region selectable) But it does unfortunately ALSO something else: ==> you will loose the ability to play MP3 <== Neither on the net, nor @ Hitachi can the "default" firmware be obtained grrrrrrrr | |||

You'll need to obtain the '0123' firmware version first. Once this firmware has been installed: 1 - turn on the dvd player 2 - Press - setup - last - next chapter - last chapter 3 - You will be taken to the 'loopholes' menu where region and macrovisaion can be changed. 4 - if step 2 doesn't work or you are taken to another menu, try this instead: setup - last - last chapter - next chapter.
