This is the same hack that works on the GDP 1404 (same as the GDP 1400 but region 4 coded). Using the remote control, *Open the draw *enter 2812 (you will see the menu) *Select the region you want (Region 9 is region-free) *Select Setup or Play to exit - do not use the Enter button. | |||

Just another report to verify this hacks works great - very simple. Just follow directions as above. when you get to the region code screen, press "enter" on the remote to change the region number until you get to "9". | |||
