	This player (GoVideo VR3845) plays NTSC/region 1 out of the box. To enable region-free playback capabilityuse the same post as GoVideo VR4940: 1. With no disc loaded press SETUP 2. With your GoVideo remote, navigate to the lock icon and press "0-0-0-0". A window will appear saying congratulations Player(Loader) Region-free. When you see that window appear, 3. Activate Region free by pressing ENTER. I reactivated Region 1 again and then reactivated Region-free to see if it would work, and, it did. I later played Japanese DVDs and United States DVDs to make sure that they worked, and, they did. GoVideo seems to be a top-notch high quality system with some really neat features. Enjoy your Region-free viewing (and also your recordings when you record VHS to DVD).

	As per the previous comment , followed the directions and presto, region free viewing. A good machine to have !!!

	Tip: 0000 is the default password to get you in to change the default two letter region code. You still can region unlock the player by pressing 0's at the lock icon, but it took several tries and lots of pressing 0 before the region unlock was accepted. Just keep pressing 0 and you'll eventually get there.
