LAY VCD HACK! Same as 4200 This hack enables VCD playback, and is the same as the XBV model Zenith hacks (models are almost identical to GoVideo). Works perfectly. Power on the player with no disk in the drive Press "PAUSE" on the remote Enter "1472" on the remote Press the UP arrow three times Press "PROGRAM", "5", "PROGRAM", "5" (the characters 04 EE should now be displayed) Press "ENTER" (the display should flash briefly) Press "RETURN" Power the player off and then back on Play a VCD! | |||

Based on 4200 hack by Roberto Marquez, December 23 2003 On front panel press DVD-VCR button so DVD light is green -- puts player in DVD mode. Use original remote, or GE universal remote code = 0635 Press Pause, 314159, should see FF on front panel. Press 0, Pause. Turn off. When turn on again it will be region free but only for NTSC discs. If try to play PAL dvd, shows "check disc" message. | |||
