Look like etec dvd players and coby players the same.I had coby dvd201 player about one year ago and now I bought etec dvd2001 (simple one) from "Brandsmart" for $18.88 I used same region code hack : With the remote control and the player on (lid closed,no DVD inside) press "setup", "vol+", "vol-", "vol+", "vol-". After that the region digit will be apears in the top,slightly right part of the TV screen. Use arrow keys ( "<",">" ) to select region 1-6 or 255 for all region. After you choice the zone number press "setup" again to save and exit. PS:You can also use other arrow (up & down)to change the number 6001 to 6000 (coby player 3001,3000) but I don't know what this operation will change,I didn't try to save this change. 255 working fine for region 5 (Russia). injoy your DVD | |||
