I just tried Mike Montgomery's hack listed below on my DV6T834N and it worked, but with some problems. Region code hack posted by Mike.Montgomery at July 10 2003: 1. In status NO DISC or DVD on screen (tray closed) 2. Press 7 > 7 > PLAY 3. SYSTEM SETUP will show on screen 4. Press ENTER key in COUNTRY CODE of 3rd line 5. COUNTRY CODE will be changed to "---" status 6. Press "0" and ENTER (changes C CODE to "0" status) 7. Press SETUP key The problem is that it sees my region 2 discs now, but the buttons on the remote don't allow access to the menu options. Region 1 and 'All" discs run fine. Was able to view one R2 disc by hitting the number keys and play. It played a segment at a time. Also the playback of the PAL discs is not as smooth as on my other hacked Daewoo's. At least it is a start and you can access the secret menu with it. | |||
