I have a Coby 626 and I read the racks that were here and none of them worked, so I looked at some of the other racks for Coby and this one worked: 1. Power on the unit 2. Open the door. 3. Enter "98760" using remote, and "0" appears on upper left corner. 4. If don't see "0", then try again (input all the numbers as quickly as you can) 5. The screen will be turned off (it is normal). 6. Turn the unit off and turn back on. My screen didn't turn off, but I turned the dvd player back on and it started working with the dvd's that weren't playing. | |||

The Coby 627 will also allow setting the region code and macrovision with the remote by pushing: Setup Vol+, Vol-, Vol+, Vol- you will see a number in top right of screen. 1,2,3......255. 255 is all regions Then right key goes to 3000 or 3001.This is the Macrovision setting, 00 is off 01 is on I think, try it to see. | |||

Coby DVD-626 Select/Change Region. Power up w/o disc in drive >open tray/ door >with remote enter these 3 digits 9,8,7 & your 4th digit is the region you want to select. You'll see the region in the medium to upper left hand corner. Turn off and test. Example for region 2 you would enter 9,8,7,2. Region zero doesn't always work if you have a DVD with a certain code. | |||
