Try it again, a little differently. I had the same problem as you. The hack brings up the version select ability. So, when you see version 1 in the upper right, just use the arrows to change it to 255. I think then you can push the enter key and it takes effect. It worked to play my EU PAL DVD's on my US tv... | |||

This is for the older versions of Coby DVD 507 that support VCD. This hack is done almost the exact way as the multiregion hack. Turn on your player with no disk in it and get the Coby Blue Screen. Now Press "Setup" and then Vol(+) Vol(-) Vol(+) Vol(-). On the upper right hand corner it should display "Ver ___" (1,2,3,4,5,6 or 255 for multiregion). Now press the Up Arrow Key till you get to the number 4001. Now press the Left Arrow Key to change it to 4000. This will eliminate macrovision. Once you do it you won't need to do it again (unless you unplug it maybe). | |||

It does play CD+G had not mention in MFG.While playing CD+G the time display is on top of it,also playing movies with zoom the display is there, I like to get the display off so I can read or watch better. | |||

Turn DVD Player on Press Setup on remote Press 2,1,1,0 you will see "ON" one moment and that will play VCD, SVCD ,and disable macrovision, follow to exit and turn off turn it back on and enjoy.
