This hack works with the Axion 16-3903 as well as the 16-3906 DVD/TV combo player. 1) Make sure no disc is inserted 2) Press Setup on the remote Control and navigate to the preferences page, 3) Using the Remote Control very near from the IR receiver in the front of the player, enter 9653 and a service page will appear with a region code menu, 4) Use Up/Down buttons on the remote to change region Codes, 5) Set to 0 (zero) for multi-region, by highlighting the 0 (zero) 6) Hit the <set-up> button to exit from the service page. That is it. Your player is now region free If this can be placed under a separate Thread about the 16-3906/LTD-1004 DVD would be great.

Axion 16-3903B may require firmware upgrade/downgrade to enable the handset hack. Method for 16-3903 did not work.

Previous hack (listed above)does work on my 3903 however I did not have to go to the setup menu. I just went from the "DVD" startup screen, entered the code, and the service menu came up. After changing it to "0" I just exited pressing setup. Note-the 3903 that I have does not have a "Preference" choice on the setup menu. Hope this helps someone. Dan

Axion 16-3903B is updated version, and does not have the "preferences" menu. With this version, just key in the 9653 hack without entering the "setup" mode.

This hack also works for the LMD-2708QE model portable DVD player. Just bought the player in Australia, only links for any info appear to be in Europe using google. |
