hello... i have made an ultimate apex tool cd this cd contain 30 roms whitt no macrovision region free and the new rce immune...all the roms are the same but whit diferent cool background...all are ready to use...just select the desired background and go all the rom come whit a jpg demo(only visible whit a pc or mac) all the roms are in boot format apex ad1000 / ad1500 containt also ALL the needed software for make your self a rom whit the background of your choice and reeinstall the factory default note.. this is not compatible whit the player who begin whit sv in the serial and i am not responsable if you scrap your apex... you can scrap(but is posible to repair manually)your apex if during the process the electricity shut down or if a shit is on your cd during the write process be carefull but dont paranoii i have made an iso to this cd and compress it to rar and ITS ONLY TAKE 7,5 MEG OF SPACE if somebody can serve this file on the net email me fury_nova@hotmail.com | |||

I just wanted to let people know that this is a very easy hack, and no one should be scared to do it themselves. I am a total newbie, and I did it with no problem - removed that damn fading in an out from hooking the DVD player up through a VCR. There is fantastic information on this website: http://www.nerd-out.com/darrenk/1500/1500_firmware.htm with very detailed information, step-by-step instructions, and the firmware you will need for this model as well as other APEX models. There is also an excellent burning tutorial for EZ CD Creator at: http://www.area450.com/firmware/burnfirmware2.htm#Easy%20CD%20Creator I was totally worried about doing this, but everything worked perfectly.
