According to the site this model has a few variations. On some the bios is flashable using a CDR. The ROM is on the same page. Check out http://www.nerd-out.com/darrenk/Hiteker_1000/1000_firmware.htm and read carefully before you attempt anything! | |||

Here's the code that makes it region free: open the tray then press 349734 then select 0 A blue box will appear in the top left hand corner that says "REGION FULL" The above steps will make it region free, substitute 0 with 1, 2 to make it a region 1 or region 2 player.
