Appears to be the same firmware as the Mustek v520 - so the following works. Oh - haven't tried the hack for Macrovision, but it should work ;) Alba 119 Region Free hack 1-Empty Tray. 2-Press Setup on Remote 3-Press Next 4-Press Prev 5-Press Next 6-Press Prev 7-Ver should appear in the top right 8-Change to 255 using left and right buttons 9-Turn off and on | |||

The above instructions really do work. Be sure to have the tray OPEN as well as empty. It took me several attempts to figure it out. | |||

Region Crack appears to work fine. However macrovision hack does not appear to work. No difference with 3001 or 3000. Also DVD player refused to read discs after dvd with macro was played. Wrong Disc appears in top corner. After switching off and on return macro settings to 3001 all ok.But still not macro free | |||
