The same procedure applies for this model as for the HTS9140 Unfortunately also the same problem! If you remove the dvd region you also disable the buttons on your player | |||

If the unit has the latest firmware installed(HQ 00004469)then the same hack as the HTS5560/12 will work and not disable the touch controls. 1 No Disc in machine. 2 Press 'Home' on remote. 3 Check firmware version is correct with 13893108520 4 Then press 8689310 (last numer is for desired region) 5 Press 13893108520 again and SHAZAM!!!! DVD Region 0 will be displayed. 6 Watch Nashville/Wolen/The Final Program or any Criterion Collectin DVD that is still inexplicably unavailable in Europe | |||

Installed software V51.01 first. Then applied the usual 8 6 8 9 3 1 0 (the 0 being multi-region). Presto now multi-region and top buttons work. | |||
