You need the codes of RC-484M remote (from DR-S2.2) or RC-498DV remote (from DV-SP800). IR Codes of these are available on remotecentral.com 1: Press "DVD" and "2" simultaneously. 2: Press "Return" 3: Press "Set Up" 4: Press "0" (zero) The dvd player shuts down. Its complete. | |||

This is only a comment to the previous hack. The default remote control provided with DV-SP504E is RC-6570DV, which lacks of "DVD" key. I would appreciate someone could tell me how to proceed in this case. | |||
