I found this hack on another model and tried it on this model... It worked fine for me... Here is what I did... 1 - On the default (LG logo) screen, with no DVD playing (it does not matter if you have DVDs in the trays) Type "Pause" then "1472". A Prom Setting screen should come up. 2 - Press up on remote till you reach 05 Xe where X is a number (region code) eg. 1e 3 - Type "0" then hold down "5" for a few seconds then release. It should then read as 0e. If it does then press "enter" on the remote. If it doesn't try pressing the number "5" a little bit longer till it does. Then press "enter". 4 - Press the "pause" button again once the above is done. That will exit you out of the Prom screen and back to the default screen. 5 - Power off then power back up the machine. It is now region free. A word of advice... Make sure you write down all your numbers & letters in the Prom Screen before you change anything. That way you can change it back to what it was in case you changed something else by accident. However, I would caution you NOT to change any other thing. | |||

Hi, Your procedure matches on our LHT734 model, too. (We got ours from the in-store Radio-Shack stock. I have been looking for a hack about 2-years now [lol].) We definitely will be testing it on many discs we get around the world. If I may, I will put an entry for the 734 up here (which has none as I write this) and point to your procedure here. Is there a source that we should attribute? Thank you. |
