	I own the LG DVX482 (without the H) so I'm not 100% sure if it also works on the H-version. But try the CD-Hack as mentioned here (for the 492H): http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks?dvdplayer=LG+DV492H or just search for JorgoLG-DVX276hack.iso It worked for me like a charm!

	Above works for my LG DVX-482H (firmware v1.14). The ISO CD you burn contains just a call to the built-in "Region Code Management". 1. Get the "lg.dvx492h.regionfree.zip" file and extract it. 2. The ISO file "JorgoLG-DVX276hack.iso" must be burnt to a CD-R. (You [i]should[/i] finalize the disc, but you mustn't.) 3. Power on the DVX-482H. 4. Insert the disc. A blue screen "Region Code Management" should appear. 5. Enter a "0" (zero) using your remote (or any other region code you wish to lock your player to, 0 meaning "multi-region") and press PAUSE on the remote. 6. The start screen with the LG logo should re-appear. 7. Remove your CD from the player. 8. Switch off your player, wait a few seconds, and switch it on again. 9. Enjoy multi-region DVD playback! In case you want to verify your firmware/chipset/servo versions before or need to do a factory reset, proceed as follows: 1. Switch on your DVX-482H. 2. Be sure that there is no disc in the player. 3. Press SETUP on the remote. 4. Proceed to "TV" -> "TV Aspect" -> "16:9" but don't SELECT it, just move the cursor there. 5. Press the digits 1 3 9 7 1 3 9 and ENTER on your remote. 6. A factory reset will be done, and Model, Chip Id, Main Version, Servo Version, Touch Key Version, Region No., HDCP Key and Checksum shown. 7. To leave this mode, press SETUP again, then switch off your unit. 8. When switching it on again, it will be like fresh from the factory - you'll even have to specify the menu language again.
