Tools you need:Buy LSX
MPEG Encoder 3.5+ $179. Demo
available here.
To
convert DivX to SVCD MPEG read
this.
Now
start LSX MPEG Encoder 3.5 +
First
we Load the correct Profile for SVCD, under File->Manage
Profiles,
MPEG-2 Super VideoCD PAL for PAL and NTSC for NTSC..
1.
Now do we open the AVI/DV
under Input File Browse.
2. Check the info, 25 FPS = PAL or 29,97 = NTSC.
3. Select Interlaced if the source is interlaced.
4. Hit Advanced.
Before
we continues with the Advanced You should calculate the
bitrate so you can fit your video on a CD with maximum quality.
You can use any audio bitrate that you want from 32-384
kbit/s, 224 is best. And you enter the length of the videclip
that you have. Dont go below 1 600 kbits for the calculated
bitrate then use more CDs.
Enter
your figures here to calculate the video bitrate:
Now back to the Advanced tab:
1. Under Audio You change the audio bitrate .
2. Under Performance you select Slowest for the best quality.
3. And under Bitrate Control you change the bitrate you
calculated above.
Leave all other.
Before
You start the Mpeg Encoding it's wise to make a short sample
to see that evertyhing is correct, just hit encode and stop
after some seconds and view the output .mv2
video(You need to unselect under Advanced->Files->
Delete temporarily files first).
After some minutes of encoding you are almost Done.
Last
you burn the MPEG to SVCD.
Or maybe you need to cut it.
Problems:
If
LSX complains about the audio stream is unsupported
then You can convert only the video with LSX and after that
you convert the audio to wav
and then to a mpeg audio file
that you last multiplex together
with the video.
