| I have a Dell 600m equiped with the ND-6100A drive. Just flashed it to ND-6500A for support of DVD-R disks. worked very well, I used the 2.23 version of the windows flasher. Windows now recognize the drive as a DVD-RW drive, and nero recognize it as nD-6500A with 2.23 version firmware. http://tdb.rpc1.org/#ND6500A Comments posted by YL from United States, December 30, 2004. | Hi! I also have a DELL_D600 with this writer and it really works great! Anyway, It has been impossible for me to burn DVD-R/RW media flashing the original firmware with the 6500A one. | Great burner. I got mine in a Dell D600 laptop and it has worked perfectly from the begining. The only drawback is it's not dual format. But that can easily be fixed with an upgrade to the ND-6500 firmware. I have yet to test the dual layer burning but every other format has worked flawlessly.
