| Chris...I also have this burner w/ a Toshiba Laptop...the P15-S420..Where did you get your region hack software and other updates?? I 've been looking and cant find anything? | This writer came with the laptop I bought, a Toshiba A45-S250. It works well burning with the included software, Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2, and playing movies is just as easy. The only problem is a lack of easy firmware updating. I found 1 firmware update to remove region settings and update a few other things but the update software won't work with this model. Otherwise if you're looking at laptops with DVD burners than get one with this burner as it works well, and is fast enough for most people, only about an hour to burn a whole DVD.
