I used to love this writer. Last week i tryed to erase a supply LG BD-RE and i had problems... I loose this disc.. Its ok, but after that i cant erase any disc at all.. Sony BD_Re (two types...) even DVD_RW... Now i can only burn the discs (i think) but i cant erase anymore.... Its very dissapointing.. I bought this burner in Paris and cost me a lot of money... I had 2 LG dvd-rw and died... I am using a Pioneer DVD-RW like 5 years and works perfectly... LG NEVER MORE! Comments posted by MARCELOBR from Brazil, July 11, 2010. Rated this writer 1 of 10. |

I have this burn drive for more than 1 year and always worked flawless with Sony BD-RE and TDK -R... Now i bought VERBATM BD-R 25Gb 2x and i cant burn the discs.. I get 0xeb020b88 error... in Cyberlink power2Go and imageburn... I cant find firmware on LGE website.. Its so confusing.. (although i thing i already have the latest firmware version)... So.. I have various discs here and i can't use!!! Comments posted by MARCELOBR from Brazil, May 05, 2010. Rated this writer 4 of 10. |

Until now, it is a fantastic external blu ray writer. No problems with burning or compatibility with anything. Must be connected on a USB2 port. I do not know if it will last long but for now would not trade for anything else. Paid 370$ canadian for it at Best Buy. Comments posted by JustOneOfMany from Canada, January 05, 2010. i'm complaining now...my first report, i gave this drive glowing reviews...i was wrong!!!....this drive stopped reading blu ray discs....went to cyberlink website...after many futile emails trying to get this resolved, i finally called LG...they told me that they would send me a new drive...waited 2weeks, no drive...i called LG back, they shipped one overnight...it works, but for how long? would give this a rating of 20 if possible...bought from Best Buy 2 months ago online, sold out quickly....intially had problems burning blu-ray, but was resolved by switching usb port(inadvertently inserted in usb 1.1 port)..dvd burning is wonderful and blu-ray burning/playing is out of this world...Cyberlink PowerDVD is included as well as Nero 7...highly recommended...no complaints, happy camper...
