| I bought this writer on sale at Fry's for around $90 a month ago. I haven't had any problems with it so far, I have burned over 25 discs and I only had one burn fail(I dont know if it was the writer or the media) but I tried burning the same DVD right after and it burned fine. I know there are better writers out there, but I think considering the cost, this writer is decent. I'm still deciding if I should keep it or not, after reading all these other comments. | Sorry for my English , bought it from Fry from last friday , you get what you pay : I burn 10 disk just 2 work ok , 6 remain unable to finalize 100% .Those can play home DVD but unable to read on my DVD-Rom ,and this burnner don't work with TDK , I just return it back and take home a Sonny DRU510A and I happy with Sonny $139.00 after rebate Comments posted by VT035 from Other, December 29, 2003. | just brought it. Tested it. Although it burn DVD without any problem. However, it has problem when creating a VCD. The last 10min is always distorted. It also hang the system when i try to play in windows media play. I recreated the same content using Plextor CD writer and the problem is gone.
