| I would have given it a rating of 10 but the drive doesn't automatically enable bitsetting to dvd-rom for single layer DVD+R media. It has to be set to booktype to dvdrom when using IMGBURN or NERO. The drive can burn 16x-20x dvd+r media very well and with no playback problems on the standalone dvd players that I own. This drive burns well with TAIYO YUDEN & VERBATIM dvd media. This is the hottest SATA DVD Burner on the market right now. Get it while you can!!!!! Note: Depending on your motherboard SATA chipset controllers you may have to use a pci sata controller card for this drive. Some SATA chipset controllers were equipped to only be used only hard drives not with SATA DVD Burners. This is especially true for older motherboards with the first generation SATA connectors. This would apply for any other manufacturer of SATA DVD Burners not only for this SAMSUNG S203B drive.
