Something for old-fashioned user: If u r using an dvdrw824k/00 (P1.4,P1.2 or earlier) you aren´t able to burn DVD-R(W), without paying 7.50EUR, you know! Try this: use dvdrw824k/40-FW (P3.3) - works really great!!! writes on DVD+/-R(RW)(not DL) Comments posted by Sympatex from Germany, July 27, 2005. Rated this writer 8 of 10. |

I cannot burn 900Mb CD-Rs on this Writer. It always recognizes a 700 Mb disk on it. All other works great. Comments posted by Marc from Spain, January 17, 2005. Rated this writer No rating. |

READ THIS!!!I have just bought it as "DVDRW824K/20" and paid it € 129,00 instead of a "DVDRW824K/00" which costs € 109.And I've just found out that the only difference is just a firmware upgrade which makes the writer read and write all DVD-R\RW..the firmware costs 7 € if you download it,but I actually paid it 20 €..DON'T MAKE THE SAME ERROR!!!!!
