UPS just delivered it from ESBuy.com. Easy installition in the computer, installing Prassi Primo DVD caused a boot problem but got that resolved. Going to burn my first DVD, will let you know how it goes.

I am a Greek user.The box came complete with everything (including screws). I burned my first DVD-R in just a couple of hours and it plays in all set top players I've tried it. Excellent machine

Just got the Australian pack for this unit: the included software was for the A03, so the supplied Prassi PrimoDVD wouldn't recognize the newer drive. A quick trip to the Veritas website, download the latest engine and all was well.

Wrote a quick video DVD to a DVD-RW - worked perfectly.
I'll rate the burner after I've used it more, but it seems fine to me.

I just purchased this drive and installed it into my HP machine. Went very smooth and was burning the 1st video in minutes. This is a great product. Only problem - no screws included to mount the drive. I use Ulead software (didn't come with the drive) and worked great. I had been burning SVCD and was afraid the DVR would be slower. Not at all, as a matter of fact I thought it was just as fast. The first run was on the DVD-RW, I laid down a 1.36 GB file in around 30 minutes. Great product......

Awesome! Forget the rest, this is the best....anyone thinking of getting anything else, dont, what a joke DVD+RW has become!

DVD Write types
CAV = Constant Angular Velocity, the DVD is written at a constantly increasing speed.
CLV = Constant Linear Velocity, the DVD is written at a constant speed.
ZCLV = Zone Constant Linear Velocity, the DVD is divided into zones. After each zone the write speed is increased.
PCAV = Partial Constant Angular Velocity, the DVD is being written at an increasing speed until a certain speed. After this speed it will not increase anymore.
