I have this burner for a couple of weeks but I still can't burn a disc at 4x speed. It only burns at 1x speed. I have the DV-W58G model which supports both dvd+ and dvd-.If I find the solution I will let you know. Comments posted by Vag from Greece, February 09, 2004. Rated this writer No rating. |

Got this with my DELL. Nero version 5.5 would not recognize it. Nero version 6 does. Works as advertised Comments posted by Jim Richmond from United States, January 19, 2004. Rated this writer No rating. |

Got this one the same way as above mentioned comments through my new Dell P4 3.2 Ghz system. I burnt 5 dvd's till now and all 5 came out flawlessly. Depending on the speed of the dvd's itself the burnprocess will take anything between 15 and 25 minutes. All 5 dvd's were Fujifilm DVD+r double speed. So far i'm very happy with this burner. Just got this on my Dell as well. After an hour with Tech S, they gave up. I tried different media. Memorex DVD+R/RW discs work. Haven't done extensive testing. Would prefer a Plextor or Pioneer drive though for the money I spent. Comments posted by beerjay from Other, December 30, 2003. Rated this writer 3 of 10. |

Just received this writer with my new Dell system. I have not been able to write to a DVD. I either have a bad drive or Dell has not recognized a firmware problem. Do not order this with your Dell system. Comments posted by Haupt from Other, December 27, 2003. Rated this writer 1 of 10. |
