| I have had this drive for a year now, and it works great giving me no problems. I suggest getting a hacked firmware update for it. | i love this drive. i've only burned a couple of coasters with it out of at least 100 hundred burns, and i'm pretty sure it was the media or the software. i have fallen in love all over again with this drive now because you can use a hacked firmware from the 5500a which makes it compatible to burn dash -R media. check it out at http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=24027. i have already successfully burned two dash-R discs at 4x with tdk media. burns everything that i've used so far in the +R(W), even the cheapest of discs.
