Sometimes got 'Disk-to-One' error with firmware v1.01. Upgrade to v1.03, found that it worst than v1.01. 4GB DVD disk took >40 mins in reading & >1 hour in burning!!! Comments posted by angel888 from Other, October 18, 2006. Rated this writer 1 of 10. |

I have it just for one week. It has different front bezel than previous BenQ model. It can burn almost everything brand DVD that i throw into. So far it still work fine, but it can't burn flawlessly with DVD+R NANYA mediacode. Perhaps a newer firmware will solve the problem. The other thing is, this drive doesnt support SolidBurn and WOPC which is have for the older BenQ model. Overall this drive works good and a new firmware revision is really need. So far i don't try to crossflah this drive with SONY DRU-820A Ver 1.0b firmware, coz it can void the warranty. Now it default firmware revision 100, where can i found that firmware?or how can i backup this original firmware? anyone can help? Comments posted by Rudi from Indonesia, June 05, 2006.
