| I have got a new SPD600-DVD-Rewriter in guarantee-exchange for an defect Philips DVDR 1645. It burns better than the 1645. | I recently bought a Philips SPD6000FD/00 and discovered that it would not work on either a CD or DVD copy - my setup: Windows XP Prof. (fully updated) and Nero Vers. 7 Ultra (fully updated). Nero reported "Drive not ready" using Philips as the destination. Also, sometimes, when starting Windows the drive could not be seen by Windows Explorer. I replaced the drive with a new one and had exactly the same results. I emailed Philips Support and their reply was that I should have used the Nero 6.0 supplied with the Drive - which won't allow me to copy from one Drive to another as Nero 6.0 only works on the Drive that it shipped with.
