| I had a bad experience with mine. Bought it in Carrefour for €189 at 24/09. Updated it with the latest firmware from BTC site. A week later, in the middle of a DVD burning using Easy CD&DVD Creator6 gave an error and DVD was lost. After this it never recognized DVD or CD-RW media. | Had a problem with the first drw1004 I bought, fast erasing a dvd+rw. It didn't read any dvd's anymore after that. It also had old firmware (v.37). Understanding it's a new product,I had it changed with a new drw1004 with already updated firmware (v.38). Now works perfectly. Burned also on cheap discs: no errors and readable on ANY dvd player.
