| Purchased and returned it back to "Fry's" Took a chance to see if I would get a Benq DW1650. But I did not, I got a Magicspin DVDRW 1016IM. | I bought this drive at Frys for 39.99-10 rebate. Open the Box I get Benq 1670 firmware 101. Istall with in second drive was good, burn Office depot DVD+r with no problem, use Nero 7 and Clonedvd2. | Great DVD writer, so far. I got it on sale at CompUSA for $30 after rebates. I've had it about a week and have burned 8x +R, 16x -R, and 2x +RW. I've burnt about 12-15 discs in all, and so far the only problem I've had is trying to burn some older (about a year old) 2.4x +R's I had sitting around. It would say there was an error and eject the disc. I was able to burn the 2.4x +R's in my other DVD writer, so I know the discs wern't bad. Other than that, it's a great DVD writer.
