1 1/2 years old and now the DVD read/record function is dead. Still reads CDs. Inserting a DVD freezes the computer after initial read. Comments posted by Mike from United States, October 29, 2004. Rated this writer 1 of 10. |

I have had this writer in my Sony Vaio for just over a year now and it has performed perfectly. I have used all kinds of different media with it, both brand name and generic, and only the rare one has a power calibration error. All in all a great writer. Comments posted by gusll from United States, June 18, 2004. Rated this writer 10 of 10. |
