Bought one of these at Sam's for about $130. Worked great for about 3 weeks, then suddenly quit while reading a DVD. Had to disconnect power, then reconnect to facilitate disc ejection. Then had a bad burn. Returned to Sam's and got a replacement. Replacement exhibited same problem right out of the box. Returned it and got an Iomega 16X Dual writer and it is working fine. Not sure what caused the problems. Sam's was very good about the replacement/returns, BTW, and should be commended. I am giving the writer no rating because when it worked, it worked great.
