| *** THIS DRIVE DOES READ DVD-RAM *** Don't worry about the VideoHelp listing saying that it dosen't, take a look at the specs on the Asus site, or on the retail box itself, OR just get one and try a DVD-RAM disk like I did. === REVIEW BEGINS ;) === Absoutely stunning drive, does exactly what it says it will do - so far ZERO coasters, has burned seamlessly at maximum speed with all media, and all DVD's burned have played OK on 2 PCs and 2 DVD players available at hand for testing. This drive is available in NZ for aprox $100-$140NZ, and comes with a pretty comprehensive software package - Nero 6.6 suite and the Ulead DVD Movie Studio suite (finally, Ulead software that isnt totally enrty level! It makes awesome DVD's, great menus etc). One can expect that the software that comes with the drive will vary depending on whether you buy it as retail/oem/this month/ last month etc etc... Best place to buy IMHO is QMB.co.nz via order over the internet for aprox $96 incl GST ...ask for Paul if you want personal assistance. I have a pile of budget media of various types at my disposal, and will post the test results as they come to hand.
