Depends on the program as what speed it'll burn at supposedly. CDBurnerXP reliably burns at 2x, Nero 7 ruined a disc at 4x. Burn4Free Burns at 8x, but reports while recording it's around 2x. Thru a USB to sata external enclosure. LG's have always been very reliable when it comes to whatever media you throw at it. I'd avoid Nero 7 on this media. Color isn't really silver and isn't really gray. Somewhere in the middle.

Hello, me again.
My father wanted a blu-ray burner too, so I bought one for him, the Pioneer BDR-205BKS from newegg. I tested the optical quantum media to see if this burner would like it better than my burner. The answer is YES, it does and very well.
The burner had no problem with the media, it burned at 8x, 10x was also available. It also read back at full speed, contrary to my own burner which always slows down to read one byte or 2 once in a while.
So, this media is good, but a good burner is better suited for it.

Bought on Newegg for around 2.50 CAD$ each.
Burnt with LG WH10LS30 at 4x in a USB connection ! Shows 8x support in Ashampoo, but I don't want to waste any media at this price for now.
Data verification went fine, but the burner was trying at the first portion of the disc to read fast, always ending up slowing the speed to read 1 byte or 2, then spinning fast again.
