This is the best media I've ever used. Has not failed to write yet, and I have over 400 + burns with this media. I use Pioneer DVR S606 at 4x and have never had a failure. Exceptional...!

This is terrible media. i have tried to burn 15 copies of a DVD-video file I rendered. 14 ended up as coasters. I tried to burn on a Plextor 12X DVD burner also and made coasters on that too. 80% of the time the data verification could not even start, when it did the verification if said that between 3 and 12 of the 15 files did not match original media. The slowser the burn speed the more files didn't match (burned at 2x had 12 files fail verification, at 8x only three files failed).
I burned the same files onto Verbatim DVD+R and Verbatim DVD-R and had no problems with a single burn.

Bought under the "GC" name at Frys, usually around 40 cents a disk, but the latest were 25 cents each. Surprised at quality. Gone thru several 25 packs and no coasters yet with Artec 4X, TDK440N, and LiteOn 5005 as writers. Most of the burns set at 2.4X, but have done some at 4x.

Absolutely terrible I used 2 dvd burners a DW800A BenQ and a NEC 3500A, forget about the coasters that was not the worst of it.
I backed up 4 discs with the DW800A of data ALL OF THEM had errors, and 3 with my nec3500A, I ALMOST lost over 25 gigs of data VERY scary stuff. Because they werent coasters so I assumed they were fine until I did an error check.
I tried all different speeds neither yielded any positive results, I literally mean out of 45+ dvd+rs that I burned only 2 I swear, 2 were good no errors no coasters.

I am glad to know I am not alone, I had the same experience as the person who starts his post "This media is terrible..."
The first two-thirds of the burn play back fine (video or data) but whatever is on the last third of the disc is irretrievable. It just freezes up the DVD player (DVD video) or locks up the DVD-ROM (data) when it tries to access it.

This media is terrible. In the beginning, my back-ups would play for a few minutes, and then they would just quit working. The screen looked like it was stuck on pause. Then I updated the firmware. At first, they seemed fine, but then when I got close to the end of the movie, it did the same thing. Thankfully, Rima refunded me.

Shiny silver top with light purple dye on the bottom. Kprobe PI/PO error scans of burned discs are clean. My Apex 1010w does not read +r(w) at all so don't panic on that score :) I have not tried burning at 6x-1x as that defeats the purpose for me and 8x works fine.
