These disks works great. Verfication process was good. Drive reading these disks gives a smooth curve, no dip in speed. gives me the least amount of problem. I would buy more.

I have been using Verbatim media with excellent results but wanted something less expensive. I bought 100 of these Taiyo Yuden 4X media to try and have had fantastic burns. I have been burning these 4X disks at 8X and verifying each burn and have had no bad ones. These are now my prefered media!

These are TYG01's, but many folks get TYG02's. You get what you get. But, I fully expected TYG01's to burn at 8x in my NEC burner and indeed, burn at 8x (w/ hacked firmware) flawlessly! So, I get top quality Taiyo Yuden media, at pri ce for 4x, and burn at 8x: what more could I ask for? If you have 16x burners you might get 12X...though difference is small in time, and quality of burn may suffer if you speed beyond..but NEC's burn great anyways, as attested by scans from others on here. So, by far the best deal I have found...and others as well! ENJOY!!

I have bought this TYG01 at $0.32, and tested 3 disks at 4x speed so far.... the success ratio is only 33%.
I used BTC1008 (x4 for DVD-R) and result of jitter (PIF error) from DVDinfoPro is very bad. The jitter error increases after 1G or 2G and The DVD-R drive and DVD player can't read the later part where jitter (PIF) error increases. I know BTC drive is not best drive, but I have never had any problem with Ridata G04/G05 over 100 disks. I have not seen bad review on TYG01 either. However I have heard many fake Taiyo Yuden was in the market before, so I am just worried about it.

Be aware that some of the cheap TYG01s may be fake. I was told a DVD factory in China made these discs with the fake media code and there is no way to tell it.

What gives ? It says right on the panasonic that it supports DVD-R's...
I wounder if Panasonic is working on this...

After getting burned by Princo and even having Samsung BeAll's fail past 3.8-.9 gigs I tried these. I have burned almost 20 at full speed with absolutely no artifacts. This is the first media out of 3 tries that has worked for me. $1.67/disc, a nice price for discs that finally work.
