Never had a problem with these discs. Reliable. But there's too much big wide black prints on the disc top. Little space to write your own info. So bad.

The TDK is a rebadged Plextor 708. It seems to burn fine at 4x, but burning at 8x gave me problems 25% of the time. At 8x, the burn process seems to pause 1/3 into burning and then restart (leaving a small unburned gap). Conversely, when I use my NEC-2500 (FW 1.0A)at 8x, it worse like a charm.

Media a little thinner then most of the DVDs that I have come across. More like CD quality then high quality DVD.
Silver backing is sandwiched between layers so no worries on flaking off the silver reflective material. So far has been excellent media.

CMC media, but it works good; this batch seems nicely made - which is subject to change. Made 5 yesterday for a quick try and worked great at 8X. For about $0.16 its a good value. Paper label specifically says made in Taiwan - which I figured was better than the India made product that appears to be quite low quality. Going back for a couple more - no rebate no hassle. The Staples label says its 100 % guarenteed, and they are great about backing stuff up.
