I bought this media from Meritline for about $0.40 in the spring of 2004. Initially these discs seemed fine, and there was no problem burning them in a Plextor 708, but I found after 6 months that more than half of them would not play in my DVD player or computer. Notified Meritline.
Avoid these like the plague.

These are without a doubt the worst media I have ever used. Out of a spindle of 50, 26 had errors when writing. Of the 24 that burned properly, 8 would not play in any dvd player. The remaining 16 would play in at least one dvd player that I tested them on, but had skipping and popping upon playback. I would not use these again, and in fact, threw out a spindle of 50 that could not be returned because it had been opened.

1 out of 3 media does not work if burnt at any speed. Please don't buy this media, I brought 100 for $39.00 on June 14, 2004. After I burnt, it does not player on my home DVD-PLAYER-PIONEER-MODEL# DV-260. My Pioneer-DV-260 can played any DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, SVCD, VCD, JPEG. But, with this DVD-MEDIA, 1 out of 3 does not work at all. I refer TDK-DVD-Media is good/excellent recording media.

1 out of every 4 disc has burn problem (Nero reported Power Caliboration failure), but the problem disc worked fine if tried 2 or 3 more times.
disc surface has little scratches after burning, but doesn't affect anything. disc burned fine, i only use for file back-up, which can be read by the burner. (i use MadDog 8X DVD+/-RW, which is the NEC model.)
disc feel kinda cheapy, very thin and light. collect finger prints easily.
bought for ~$31, 100pack.

One DVD not recognized by writer. Others burned at 4x with no problem. Disc quality seems to be below par. For blank discs, there are a lot of little scratches on disc surface which may cause recording and then playback problem (stutter video) on some of the disc burn. If you use this material, make sure you play back the material on your DVD players. DVD compatibility is OK. Play back on all 4 DVD players that I have. I'm burning at 2x and max of 4.2G just to be sure. Paid $0.45.

This media sucks. Have errors on all. About in the 3.85 range. All so tried it on the dd0401. Also errors.Don't buy media, Try prodisc good disk and cheap. www.meritline.com sucks. THEY DON'T POST MY REVIEW ON THEIR WEB SITE.
