	I can confirm this region hack works to make it region free for DVDs, I did it yesterday on a brand new Samsung Blu-Ray Disc BD-J5700. Model: BD-J5700 /ZX Region: A/4 (Mexico) Firmware: B-JM53BSPWWB-1008.0 Remote: AK68-02599C Using your remote control do the following: 1. Power ON without disc. Press OPEN TRAY 2. Press the BLACK button BELOW the yellow "C" button. 3. Press 7-6-8-8-4 (or your region code). 3. The current region code will display at the top left of the screen. 4. Press 9 to change to free region. Power off with RC Power On with RC Repeat steps 1 to 3, your region code will now show a "0" on the top left corner. Congratulations you now have region free BD-J5700 for DVDs since the Blu-Ray region stays the same. Region codes: 1- 29334 2- 57538 3- 56732 4- 76884 5- 53814 6- 24462 Note: (On step 2 If you press the repeat A-B button bellow the green "B" button, this hack won't work) Hope this helps the community

	This is not working. Same model (BD-5700) and firmware (1008.0) as mentioned above, but different remote model (AK59-00149A.) Model code is (BD-J5700/ZA)

	This hack doesn't work, you follow the instructions exactly and nothing happens. Disappointing.

	Yes, it is worked if you does not bother when you press REGION CODE number it will not be shown on your tv screen, ONLY after that process complete, it will be shown on the top of the left AND you need REALLY QUICKLY press button NUMBER 9 after that. this hack worked on all new samsung dvd player.try again.

	I used these instructions on my Samsung BD-J5900 and it worked perfectly once i used the right repeat button on my remote..one try and wham it works for me now.

	The hack worked on my Blu-Ray player using remote AK59-00146A. The codes don't show anywhere on the screen but the DVDs do play fine.
