Found this for another HT and it has worked fine on mine (although I forgot to check if it was already released for all zones). Anyway, now it plays Region 1 and 4. Region code hack posted by cybergeneral, May 26 2009: Tutorial in English and Portuguese (brazilian) 1. Remove disc from tray (remova o dvd). 2. Switch off player and unplug power cord (desligue o aparelho e depois desconecte a tomada). 3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect power cord (espere 30 segundos e reconecte a tomada). 4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc' (ligue o aparelho pelo remoto. espere ate carregar e aparecer o aviso no disc). 5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.) aperte entre no remoto. nao aparecerá mensagem alguma na tela. 6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.) aperte os numeros, nao havera resposta na tela. 7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off (aperte enter no remoto. o aparelho irá desligar automaticamente). 8. Turn player on (ligue o aparelho) 9. Turn off (desligue o aparelho). 10. Turn player on then off again (ligue/desligue de novo). 11. Player is now region-free (o aparelho está desbloqueado). | |||
