Description (from the manufacturer site) | |||||||||
The world’s smallest USB TV tuner is on its way! At the end of June, the multimedia specialist TerraTec Electronic will bring to market an ingenious new solution for digital TV and radio called Cinergy Piranha. It enables users to receive DVB-T signals and listen to DAB radio. What’s more, it ships with T-DMB on board, the new reception standard for TV on cell phones. Cinergy Piranha is priced at 79.99 euros (129 SFR).
Wherever users wish to go, they can take their mini TV stick with them. At home, it delivers digital TV to the stationary PC via the house antenna. And this handy TV tuner plugs into the notebook for reception on the go. Courtesy of its highly sensitive tuner, the stick performs well even in fringe areas where reception is weak. Another special treat is TerraTec’s THC (TerraTec Home Cinema) software. It transforms the computer into a powerful video recorder for digital television (DVB-T) with manual or remote control – and with the free year’s subscription tvtv, even via Internet or WAP-enabled mobile phone. The application can automatically wake up the computer, and shut it down to conserve energy and spare users unwelcome surprises when the next electricity bill arrives. It offers many more benefits beyond that, including convenient station and favorites management, an electronic program guide (EPG), and time-delayed viewing (time-shifting). Details * Digital TV on notebooks and PCs via USB SB * TerraTec Home Cinema Software * Time-delayed viewing (time-shifting) * Digital video recorder with full MPEG2 support * Electronic Program Guide (EPG) * High-speed videotext * DAB Radio and T-DMB * Software for creating DVDs |
