High bandwith DVB services for notebooks
The USB series are external, low cost and high performance DVB receiver that allows for connection to a notebook or personal computer via USB. The USB series was specifically designed to meet the consumers for easy to use and cost effective installation (plug & play) ae well as mobility. Each USB box features a complete DVB receiver for receipt of data broadcast such as digital TV or radio programms and provides high-speed access to internet technology based services. An optimised software filter driver manages processing downstream by filtering up to 255 PIDs concurrently. An MPEG-2 software decoder for TV and radio applications include features such as automatic channel parsing and record/playback capabilities. The software supports Windows 98 / ME / 2000 / XPTM. An easy-to-use multilingual data managment utility is provided to adjust channel and filter settings and to monitor incoming data. The USB connection offers the advantage of using all these features on a notebook or PC. At the same time the USB series supports hot plug & play and power managment features. The USB series can also be used for extended functionality, such as using a notebook for digital content recording, and for time shift features. In addition, the small and light weight design combined with a 12V power supply makes the device perfect for professional or personal travel needs.
