	1. Enter DISC mode via remote. Press EJECT key(R/C (remote Control)) to eject disk; 2. Press R/C numeric key sequentially 9735 (entry code, U must see flashing icon "hand" on screen. It means nothing. ), enter DVD region code setup menu. 3. Press R/C "down direction" or "up direction" or "right" key to enter REGION submenu. Press R/C "down direction" or "up direction" key change REGION CODE,"0" is all code. 4. Press R/C "OK" key to confirm. 5. Press R/C "down direction" or "up direction" or "right" key to select "EXIT MENU" and "OK" to exit region menu. 6. Region code setting is done.

	1. Press DVD "OPEN/CLOSE" key on remote Control (R/C) or main set to open the DVD door (note: if no disc on tray, then no need to open the door); 2. 	1. Press DVD "Open/Close" key or Eject Button on Player 2. From Remote control (RC) press "System" key to enter DVD system Setup menu 3. From RC use the direction key ( > ) to highlight the fourth item "Preference Page" (Careful to not enter sub menu) 4. From the RC numeric keys enter sequentially 811502 5. You will notice the Region Code on the TV screen, use the up or down direction keys to change the region code to "0" . Region free. 6. From RC "OK" key to confirm 7. From RC press the System key to exit DVD system. 8. Power off, wait 10 seconds. Power on This works on the MCD 288, European version MCD 288 E/12 and the MCD 988.
